Our story

Built in Anchorage.
Brewed with intent.

Magnetic North Brewing Co. is a small-batch craft brewery and taproom in Anchorage. It started with a simple idea: brew the beer we actually want to drink and share it with people who feel the same way.

One brewer. One taproom. The tap list rotates. The welcome does not.

Jeremiah Christian, owner and brewer

Owner + brewer

Jeremiah Christian.

Jeremiah has been brewing beer since 2012. His first batch was a failed brown ale made with a turkey fryer. Infected, flat, and exploding early batches did not end the experiment. They made him keep improving the process.

Since then he has brewed styles ranging from pale ales and lagers to stouts, sours, and bitters.

Anchorage became home

Minnesota to Alaska.

Jeremiah and his wife Phylicia grew up in Minnesota and moved to Anchorage at the end of summer 2014. Family, Alaska, and the long road from homebrew to taproom are all part of what Magnetic North became.
